1990 Jeep Wrangler
This ad was directly copied and pasted from my craigslist ad. I apologize if there is any info in here that might seem self-evident to members of this forum
4.2L 5 speed AX-15 NP 231 Transfer case with 4:1 ratio in 4Low
Dana 35 Rear Axel 4.11 Ratio
Dana 30 Front Axel 4.10 Ratio
130,XXX Miles on the odometer
Engine rebuilt ruffly 30,000 miles ago
I am asking $8000 for my 1990 Jeep YJ. This is my baby but unfortunately it is time to sell.
It is off-road ready and includes the following parts:
Five 33" BFG Mud Terrain tires
Five 15" Teflon coated American Racing wheels
Gorilla locks for all five wheel nuts on each wheel
4" Procomp lift
Front and Rear ARB Air Lockers - If you know about lockers you know these are top of the line and one of the most expensive
Custom front and rear bumpers
Rugged Ridge HD steering
Rock sliders
The entire interior is coated in LineX bedliner.
It has a total of six Tuffy Lock boxes: Center Console, Glove box, above both rear wheel wells, under the back seat, and one under the hood
Two four-point harnesses it also still has the factory seat belts which i use 99% of the time.
It has two KC offroad lights currently mounted to windshield brackets. If the Jeep sells for my asking price I will include two more of the KC lights (look in pictures for reference) and two giant 12" lights.
The radio is in the center Console Tuffy lock boxes for security and convenience. It is a lot easier to use when it is here than stretching to the dash
Attached to the radio are four nice Polk Audio speakers, they have proven to be indestructible. They are located: one in each of the lock boxes over the wheel wells and two behind the dash.
You do not have to worry about anyone taking your stereo in this jeep. and it sounds quite nice
I have two fire extinguishers strapped to the role bar.
I have a large offroad jack that is usually mounted to the rear tire carrier but I took it off to paint it and I haven't put it back together
It currently has the full size Bestop. It is made of a very nice material and is very tight. Does not create annoying flapping from the wind like the factory soft top and other after market ones.
I will also include a bikini top which is very nice in the summer.
If the Jeep sells for the asking price I will also include a 7500lbs. Mile Marker winch which mounts in the trailer receivers on the front or back
Under the hood I have an after market Weber 32/36 DGEV electric choke carburetor. I have tuned to a time and on a good week I'll get up to 20mpg which is fantastic for a Jeep.
If you know anything about these old 4.2 liter engines they are bullet proof and produce gobs of torque at very low RPMS, perfect for offroading.
Also has a brand new less than a month old performance exhaust system.
This Jeep has been my daily driver for the last couple years and has not let me down.
It has a brand new inspection and will not be due until May of 2012.
I have many of the Receipts from all the work that has been done to it.
The bad:
The front right fender is a bit rusted where I lost some paint - Was planning on getting tube fenders so I never fixed it.
On the soft top one of the zippers are broken on the back window - could probably get fixed at an industrial fabric shop, have not looked into it
The seat covers have been bleached by the sun and the grey kinda looks pinkish
There is no AC in this Jeep but it's a Jeep and in the summer with the top and doors off I stay plenty cool (The heater/defroster works FANTASTIC in the winter! I am almost too hot in the winter with the heater going.)
The gas gauge stopped working last winter. ( I never used the gas gauge before it broke I always fill up once I reach a certain number of miles)
Minor Leaking from rear main seal
I am not in a hurry to sell so no low ball offers. Best offer takes it home. I have clean title in hand.
