2000 Excursion, Diesel, 4x4
2000 Ford, 7.3 Diesel, 4x4, Excursion Limited, 168k miles.
The bad: some front fender damage, slight driver door damage where it meets the top of fender, dinged up hood, cracked windshield (passes inspection fine, not in driver view), tear in edge of front driver seat, power door locks don't work all the time (common on ford trucks of this age), carpet kinda dirty, other usual scratches/dings you'd expect.
The good: runs like a champ, no leaks, drives straight down the road, 50k on rebuilt auto tranny (nice firm shifts), Power Tow Mirrors, power driver seat, Bully dog shift kit installed in tranny, 2 auxillary tranny coolers, 4" turbo back exhaust (not loud at all), 4" ProComp lift, Edge Evolution Programmer w/ built in digital gauges, Pyrometer, Tranny temp, EGT, etc., good 305/70 Toyo All Terrain tires, tow package, brake controller, leather seats, front/rear AC/Heat, electric shift 4x4, new front rotors/brakes, lift pump. I also have the 3rd seat, it's kinda dirty from sitting in the storage building. New Batteries, fuel filter last month, new coolant last year. Tags are good.
It's a great truck if you're not too picky about having something in pristine condition, like me. I'm just ready for something a little newer.
$8600/Firm, $8500 w/o brake controller.

Wish I could talk my wife into driving one of those, but she doesn't like how HUGE they are, and I told her I would get to park my truck in the garage and that out in the driveway, that may have been the deal breaker.

Nothing in the works now. I'll probably be looking for another tow rig in a month or two. I have a 2001 silverado that can drag the jeep around for the time being. Just gonna have to tent camp, along w/ all the other potlickers.

Bought an '03 Dodge dually I've had my eye on yesterday.
Worked out nicely, guy handed me $$ for excursion, I literally turn around and hand it directly to the guy selling me the dodge. Whole thing took less than 5 minutes, titles signed, keys exchanged, quick hand shakes, and hauled ass.

Very nice, I've loved my dodge since I got it. Keep an eye on your water pump, other than that your money.

Re: 2000 Excursion, Diesel, 4x4
It's a little muddy I had to do about 20 miles of dirt road driving yesterday.
This is my 4th Dodge dually, never had a water pump issue, though this is the first used one I've purchased, we'll see.
It's got alot of miles (228k) and is well used, but it has new stock injectors, Fass fuel pump, and most importantly of all, a 6spd tranny, w/ new clutch. Never been a programmer on it and there is no blowby, so hopefully the major stuff will hold together for a while, since I really don't plan on putting more than 5-10k miles a year on it. For what I gave for it, I'm very happy.
